turbo targas

hi:
did the factory produce any turbo targas 1989? i see a few cab's that appear to be factory and am wondering as i like the targa and am considering a turbo in the future and would like a factory targa

I think something like 87 or 88 turbo targas made it to the states in 86-89...........if you find one and can afford it I'd pick it up, I think they'll appreciate in the future. There was an awesome turbo targa in 911&P world a couple months back.

do you think that the targa can handle the torque and power or is is just a novelty. i would guess that they would have to be re-inforced even stronger than a normal asp engine?
