Convertible top failure

1988 811 cab in which the convertible top was operating fine until my wife tried it. Previous I had the brain tested and replaced.
Currently the problem is when turning the key to position 1 the convertible top light fails to light.
I did check the fuse, the 25amp one i thinkat position 4 it was fine. Even changed it out with another in the fuse box. I looked for the second 2.5 amp fuse and saw the thread of where to look. It seems I do not have that fuse or maybe it behind the entire fuse block for some unknown reason.

the interesting thing is the windows do go up and down but sometimes when i switch it into position 1 they do not. I have jiggled the key in the ignition in position one and the windows will not come down. Turning the ignition switch back to off and then to position 1 will then cause the windows to come down. so something is off, it should activate the windows always when in position 1

I am thinking its a ignition switch issue. How do to I jump the ignition switch to position 1. What concerns me it the convertible top light does not light up. SO is it not the ignition switch and something else?

Is it the switch or the mysterious 2.5 relay that i do not seem to have.
I would light to get the cab top light to light up. In my opinion that is the issue as to why the top is not function. Something in the start up circuit.

And no,I am not converting to a manuel.top Its been working fine for 5 years once the CPU brain was serviced properly

Need someone with more experience in this issue

thanks for you help
