alternator bolt

Does anyone know the part number or is this something I can get at Home depot etc..and will it stand the heat.. A bolt thread is toast..

I seriously doubt that can be ordered separately from the alternator, or that you will find it at home depot. McCaster car would probably have it though.

Your best options in my opinion are:
just go buy a thread chaser kit and try to clean the old one up
or
call local shops that do alternator repair and ask if they have and old bosch units laying around, they are pretty standard construction from that era and you might get lucky.
