Pricing for oil change? brake calipers?

'86 911 3.2
What's typical, fair price for oil change by Porsche mechanic?
What about both front Brake Caliper replaced with rebuilt ones, all new front brake lines, pads, bleed?

Thanks
Mike

Here is what you would expect to pay at a shop.

Oil Change
11 qts of Mobil 1 $60
Filter 12
.5 labor 35

Total $107 plus tax

Brake Work
Rebuilt front calipers $ 250/pair
Brake lines (4) 60
New Pads F/R 120
5 hrs Labor incl bleed 350

Total for brakes $ 780

If they rebuild your present calipers you can maybe save an hour or so on labor...you are going to pay retail + for parts to cover their overhead. Or do it yourself and learn alot in the process.

Yeah - do it yourself. You're talking about two relatively easy jobs (okay, maybe a bit messy). $300 in parts for the oil change and brake work (rebuilding your calipers) with labor to turn your rotors. You can even splurge and get the oil filter that says Porsche on it. Are you sure you need new (or rebuilt) calipers?

Chris.
