Where to get a key cut for a Carrera 3.2 in LA?
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone can recommend somewhere to get a key cut for my 911 3.2 carrera tomorrow in LA? I have just arrived from AUS to drive around in the car for 5 weeks and I think only having one key seems dangerous. Thanks in Advance Cheers Stewart |
If it is similar to the SC hen almost anywhere...I had mine done at ACE Hardware. I did bring in the blank tho.

You can get blank from ebay or other places and cut it at home depot. Note, someone can cut it and someone can't so get several blanks

I would stick with Ace hardware. I went to one on Ventura and Topanga in Woodland Hills with a blank from Sierra Madra but they also had blanks for my 87 Carrera and cut both. Big box like Home Depot have the newer computerized machine and cannot cut keys that they do have blanks for. Ace on the other hand has the old school key cutter that looks like a bench grinder and they had no problem.

Make sure they know the blank is alu.

Thanks Guys,
I ended up dropping into Viva Zapata and the guy was great. $13 for two keys which I am pretty happy with. |
