Hmmm....When I first got my car I was a little conscious of it being lime green. I sort of bought it because I loved the colour. But driving it with everyone staring at it put me off - mostly people thinking WHY is it that colour, I'm sure.
Now I love it. Yellows and oranges have made various comebacks particularly in Europe, but a solid lime green, that's a bit of the '70s people would rather forget!
I'm fine with it now after that first week of thinking, "what have I done"!

Targas do flex more than coupes. I've had both an '81 SC targa and two '72 911 coupes without sunroofs, each always rust free garaged cars. You may not feel it on the road (although you will hear it), but on the track the difference in solidity between a targa and coupe is noticeable. What was even more noticeable, and suprising, was how much more solid my '72T became when I had a welded in six-point roll cage installed. The thing is like a rock now - much more direct from steering/throttle input to car response. There is never any question about how the car will respond. I would guess this contributed about a three times greater improvement in solidity as compared to going from targa to coupe.

You know, that's the weird thing - if I had a 73 targa, I wouldn't have the slightest problem with it being yellow or orange. It's only the red that bothers me, and it bothers me more on the modern cars. It may be that the red is associated with mid-life crisis or over-compensating for something.

Originally, before I bought my car I desperately wanted a Silver coupe with SC/Carerra guards and a tail. Instead, I got a 2.7 with narrow body in bright Talbot yellow. But, I never expected that I'd end up owning a car as nice as this one.

After owning my car for almost 12 months, I feel kinda goofy when I think back at my wish-list. I think if it's the right car, it just pops up in an unexpected place at the worst possible time. I had to run two p-cars for some months before I sold my 928.

Besides, the next car I'll get will be a resto project starting with a SC/Carrera body and probably working in a 3.6 and paint it Meteor Metallic. I'll keep the one I've got, but that's a few years away, but in the meantime, my 2.7 is my garage queen.
