Bosch H4 alignment guide?

Hi all, newbie here. 1973 911s targa that Mark Allen restored. Is there a reference on alignment of high and low beams on the 5-screw Bosch H4 units? Googling gave me everything but that...thanks all, hope everyone's running cool.

I searched the forum and found a thread that referred to this site with a procedure:

Daniel Stern Lighting Consultancy and Supply

Hope this helps.

I used Sterns instructions when I installed my H4s a few years back and was pleased with the results

If your headlights have five screws you have H1 headlights. Follow Stern's instructions .
On the headlight glass you can see which screw is for vertical, horizontal, high and low beam..
H1s have separate reflectors, one for low beam and one for high beam.

If that is the one he just sold, you got the best Targa 73 Targa I've seen in a while. Congratulations. Make sure first if you have H4s or H1s. The H1s have a smaller reflector at the bottom of the headlamp for high beam. The h4s have a single reflector.
You may have alignment information in your owners manual, if you got one with the car.
H1s have separate adjustments for the High beam reflector and the low beam reflector.

Thanks all, I just took one out (H1s) and made a little drawing of where each screw goes and where the pivots are. It's a little wonky how the pivots work, but knowing what direction things are "supposed" to be moving helps get it into alignment. I'm a light freak so of course that is the first thing I took a screwdriver out for on this beauty. The US-spec lights only are in the manual.

Thanks RSTarga - wow, you have a 73 since new? Amazing (and smart). Tell me about RS MFI specs? ;)
