Old parts... garbage, scrap metal or sell?
Now that I'm finishing up a bunch of projects I have a pile of old parts that I need to get out of the garage. I'd appreciate some thoughts on what is worthy of saving and what isn't. Everything from my '83.
- original muffler - cat w/ O2 bung that has been cored out + heat shield - original front a/c condenser - original evaporator - receiver/drier (worth scrap metal or trash it?) - spring plates - original rear torsion bars Everything must go! ![]()

Receiver/Dryer is trash- if it has been exposed to air for anytime it is worthless
The condensor & evaporator are worth saving, someone on this board definitely can use them

If the muffler isn't rusted out, it's probably worth something as well.
My car came with a super loud Bursch unit and I was happy to shell out 100 bucks for a stocker to quiet the car down. |

Adjustable spring plates are valuable.

RNajarian,
I just noticed your tag line. Dobbins ARB is close to where I live. Sometimes when I'm driving down I-75 near the base you can see C-130's stacked up doing touch and go's. I've seen as many as a half dozen at once. It's impressive! John, The spring plates are the stock style. I took the old rubber bushings off one of them. The future owner of this pair will get the joy of removing them from the other one. I know, I know... You're thinking how selfish of me for robbing someone of the pleasure - no, honor - of removing all the bushings! I hang my head in shame.

List it all in the classifieds. You'd be surprised what someone else might want. I could even be interested in the torsion bars - what diameter are they?

Charles,
They are original (AFAIK) rear bars. Stock is 24mm? Does that sound right? That's what is in my head anyway. I will look at them later and see if there is a stamp or something.

I'll post a classified with pics on the stuff - I wasn't trying to make this an ad. Sorry John, someone already contacted me about the spring plates.
