1st annual Kentucky/Cincinnati area air heads meet and drive
Hello there,in recognition of our good friend Dr.Ferdinand Porsche I'm planning a drive on Saturday September 12th. A couple years ago a fellow pelican and I came to Cincinnati and met up with another group and had a nice drive. That day we talked a little about inviting you guys to our neck of the woods to let you try our roads. Well the day has finally come. We will plan to meet in Carrollton which is about right in the middle between Louisville and Cincinnati so it's about equal for all of us. We will depart from there and head for the hills to some very good back roads that I know of. We will wind up in Cynthiana at an old covered bridge that is a good photo spot and nice place to rest for the loop back. This will be a great drive that I guarantee you will be worn out from the curves and driving experience. Wives /girlfriends are invited so use it as an excuse to come out for some nice scenery. I'm thinking picnic lunch at the bridge and whatever else you enjoy and we'll head out on the next leg. This will be a 4-6 hour loop and most of these roads are fairly clear of traffic so we can keep a pretty good pace going. This is a popular spot for sport bike riders so you know it's good. I will have the address of the shell station that will be our meeting spot right off of I71 exit 44. Plan to meet at 9:00am and launch at 9:30 to try to get out before much traffic. I hope you can attend and look forward to meeting you. Right now the forecast looks perfect so change your oil , set your tire pressures and come on out to give your car a workout. I am happy to answer any questions you may have about the route. Rain date will be the 19th the good Dr's birthday. See you soon.....Ben

The date has been changed to the 19th in honor of the good Dr. Maybe my write up isn't that good but I'm hoping for more people to come and enjoy the day with your cars. These roads are not to be missed if you enjoy driving and you will not be disappointed. Thanks for your interest....Ben

Driving Northern Kentucky back roads is always enjoyable, but I'm heading out West for Rennsport V Reunion in my 86 Carrera.
Cars & Coffee at Captains Quarters tomorrow if anyone's interested in coming out I'll be there in a Guards Red Carrera. Cheers,
