Porsche 911 sc 2 idles high to pas smog

So I took my 81 sc in to get smogged Tuesday.. They told me it was idling to high in first gear.. It wouldn't read out. They said it was idling at 1500 rpm in gear.. It idles 800-900 wArm in neutral. I got in and turned the car on it went right to 900rpm but they were saying it was too high.. Can I simple adjust the vacuum/ carb screw to fix this.. What would you suggest to be a good point to have it idle waRm in neutral to get the car to able to pass smog? When I had it smogged as the new owner in 2007 it passed easy!! Now I live in a populated part of California that requires a 2 year smog cert. although I am selling hopeful immediately I cannot get the tags until it passes.. I mean I paid for them already now the state hits me with this smog letter.. Ugghhhh.. Help please.. I've seen some great threads I hope I get some expert advice.. Come on Porsche nation help a brother out!!
