Bump Steer Bolts

Just bought the bump steer kit (Weltmeister) from Pelican and the bolts that came from it are shorter than the ones I removed? I just reused the old bolts but how much thread should I make sure gets into the rack to ensure a safe hold?

I had the wrong kit sent to me. It was for early 911s. I called up Pelican and the sent the right kit out the same day. Don't use the old bolts, not long enough. The right kit will have bolts about 1/2" longer than the original ones.

I had the same problem with mine - the bolts were *way* too short. It was easier for me to run to the H/W store and get the right ones, and chalk it up to the incompetence of the Weltmeisterbaters

if you get them at the local hardware, make sure they are the proper hardness.
