What book for a '76 Carrera 2.7 RS?
What would be a good book, besides Wayne's 101, for working on the car. I don't plan on doing a rebuild on the engine but would like to trouble shoot and repair most everything else.
Can't afford the Porsche factory manuals. Thanks

I hear Haynes can be useless. I wonder what do the guys who own the 1973 Carrera RS use?

Oliver, your wishes have come true. The Carrera 2.7 book includes extensive coverage of the 1976 Carrera 2.7 MFI model with the RS-spec 911/83 engine, Porsche's last mechanically fuel injected 911 for the street.

Most of the good info is in the tech books above the factory manuals. Generally, what would the difference be between a 73 911/83 and a 76 911/83?

Ryan's new book looks like a must-have. It's got a few typos but is probably the best researched book on a 911 I've run across.
Still, the original thread is several years old. Hopefully M.r Green has bought a set of the factory manuals, and maybe some supplements like the one for the MFI... JR |
