What is this hose ?

Hello New guy here and first time posting. First off thanks to Pelican and their Users for helping me through a few projects already as I am learning this beast. I got a couple videos but have no idea on editing so once I figure it out I will post those ....its mainly on odometer repair and the indicator multi switch....Well I bought a 1988 911 Targa 3.2 with rsr iroc wide body in April and got alot to do on the bucket list. I was hoping to get some help in identifying a "bell type" hose right before the oil cap, it has two medium sized hose clamps. I'll attach a pic.

Thanks again for the help!

Welcome! send us a pic of your car sometime.

It is the part shown in a pic in each of the 2 links dan88911 showed. (post #25 in one of the links I think it was).
It is sold as an EGR valve available at auto zone ($5). They also carry the short rubber adapter, and the whole thing can be clamped using small band clamps, after you remove the old oetiker clamps. It is not under hi pressure.

look in your engine compartment or it's lid for a decal of the vacuum system for help.
