exhaust studs unscrewed
Hi all,
I'm in the process of removing the dreaded thermal reactors from my 77 2.7 and have the drivers side already off. In the process, I didn't break any exhaust studs, but two of them came unscrewed from the engine. When installing the new exaust, should I use any type of loctite (red?) to secure the new (or old?) studs. There does not appear to be any corrosion on the studs. dave |

the last thing you want is something to lock them into place. they can do that easily enough on their own. what you do want to do is use some never seize on them, so you can get them out if you ever need to in the future.

I use nickel anti seize on exhaust and stainless nuts, although many guys use copper nuts.. stainless needs an install technique IMO..............Ron
