Windshield sourcing
Seems our host doesn't sell windshields. Where do people get replacement windshields for an aircooled?

I got one from SafeLite for my '83. Picked it up from their local warehouse. It was around $120. It is a Chinese maker but I have no complaints or issues. Installed for 2 years. The old original windshield was badly pitted. Replacement was a major upgrade.

I did the same thing as Tim, just googled windshields and found an inexpensive one and put it in myself. I hate that it was a Chinese one, but I just couldn't stomach the $800 original ones, especially since I was installing it myself for the first time and if I broke it, the cheap one wouldn't give me a heart attack.

I used the Chinese version on purpose, its like cheap RS glass. Its close to half the weight of the German version.
