Adding a tail to a 1984 911 ... choices for front end

Looking at adding a whale tail to my 1984 911 coupe ... was wondering what options I have for the changes I need to make to the front end for aerodynamics ... can I add anything other than the traditional rubber spoiler? Thanks in advance.

Trust me stick with the factory chin spoiler as intended, I canvstand all of these fibreglass creations that people fit, keep it original with factory parts, that way you stay in the theme and don't devalue your car with homemade fibreglass.

I'm of the mindset that anything other than a duck tail rear requires a different front/rear bumper configuration. The duck tail is somewhat mellow visually and doesn't take much modification to the rest of the car to not look awkward. If you are doing a turbo tail or IROC tail or something of that nature then I would look at an IROC style front at least with a splitter or perhaps a RUF style front end.

Just my $0.02

It sounds like he is just adding a Carrara tail. I would just do the rubber front spolier

If it was my car I'd find a used deck lid and tail. That way you keep the factory deck lid if you decide to change back. They are easy to find here .

Thanks all ... rubber spoiler it is. Deck suggestion is also helpful.
