83 SC Coupe. The shoulder point guides on my stock seat belts dont rotate through their full range of motion because of the bolt in rollbar I have in place. When both passenger and driver are buckled in there are no issues as the guides are in the proper angle but when you are pulling or releasing the loose belt it tends to bind up along the lower end of the slot because the guide can no longer rotate towards the floor. Over time it chews up the edge of the belt webbing.
Thought about looking for some kind of flatter replacement guide like this but then I remembered that you cant remove the stock guides from the belt assembly.
I think I already know the answer but any other alternatives other than just "being careful" to extend the life of my stock belts?
Thanks in advance.
