HELP IS NEEDED!!! Exhaust Stud Chamber
I purchased my first (1982) 911sc over the winter knowing a few items needed attention (exhaust studs and broken head studs.)
Previous owner extracted several exhaust studs by drilling. When cleaning exhaust stud chamber with compress air, I can feel air coming out the other side of stud chamber. It appears that a pilot hole was drilled too deep and went through. Please help!!!! What are my options? Do I need to replace? Do I leave as is and insert new exhaust stud? |

Case savers or helicoils.

Thank you Patz,
I was able to re-tap and insert stud. Was wondering if any other damage / issues can be caused. The drill hole penetrated to the other side. |

You can fill and drill but typically requires pulling the head.
