Fabricating horn grill mounts for fiberglass fenders
Hey all. I thought I would post this for a public service announcement. This is a project that is long, long overdue for my car. I had 2 gaps that I was going to do something creative with, and I just decided to fabricate horn grill mounts for my fiberglass fenders. Hopefully this helps someone down the road.
 Step one: remove fender. Create cardboard templates of the brackets. Cut steel to size.  Step two: clamp, and drill holes in the steel brackets.  Step three: bend and tweak it to fit, and fit screw retainer clips. I'm sure they have a formal name, but I don't know it. :-)  Step four: continue to tweak it and bend brackets, until they fit flush against the fiberglass. Clamp in place, and lay at least three layers of fiberglass to secure brackets in place.   Step five: reattach fender, and enjoy a job well done!   Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
