Distrubutor vacuum hose connections?

My car idle is hanging up when I drive, so I looked at the distributor and found this hose disconnected from the right side of the vacuum advance/retard unit. Any ideas where this connects?

Found it! Darn heater blower was in the way. Looks like the pink plastic patch/connector may have been added by someone in the past if the braided line had failed? The braided line goes deep into the engine compartment, somewhere in front of the throttle body, so it's possible it was deemed easier to patch than to replace I suppose. Connecting the line didn't solve the problem, unfortunately. Is it possible that the pink patch is too thin? The advance unit looks to be in good shape, from the outside at least. I am aware that the idle issue could be from another source, cold start is rough, I'm trying to also determine if I need a new WUR, which I've been told can also account for the idle issue.

Hey groovydude,

Do a fuel pressure test and that will tell you if you need a rebuilt wur or not.
