Turn signals out after center console removal
I have an '86 Carrera Coupé. Just replaced the shifter cup bushing and did a rebuild of the shifter housing. I removed the shifter center console (AC/Rear glass heat/Hazard lights/Auto lock button) and replaced successfully without issue. Only thing is, I did a function check of everything an noticed the turn signals (both right and left) don't work. All bullets in the fuse panel appear to be ok. Any help?

On my '83 the turn signal and flasher systems are inter-related. Guessing it's the same or similar for '86.

Check the 6 pin plug (turn signal stalk harness) under the dash vicinity of the steering column - maybe it got bumped?

The hazard switch in the console uses the turn signals for flashing, so I'll bet the switch must be improperly connected or the connector in back of it is not completely secure. You may need to remove that switch and inspect it. But first, check the fuses for the turn signals just to make sure they're not blown.
