245/50/16 Pictures, comments???

I have a very original carrera with 8 fuchs in the back. Looking for street rear tires. Not a track car. All season or summer.

As you know availability for 245/45/16 street tires is not existing

My only priority is the correct look for this car. Not performance

Any of you with 245/50/16 in the back? Can you post some lateral and rear pictures?

I greatly appreciate it! Thanks.

If originality is what you're going for then 245/45 16 was not an original tire on a 3.2 Carrera. Only M491 and Turbos were shod with that.

For 8 inch rears, 225/50 16 is considered original.

There are some pictures around here of 245/50/16 on 9 inch rims. 8 inch might be pushing it. I might go to 245/50/16 on my next 9 inch rims tire change. My speedo reads too fast anyway, so if anything, it will help with the speedometer discrepancy. I use 225's on my 8 inch rears.
good luck!

As Leaky said, 225/50 is stock and I am running that size on my 8's.

Also, Tire Rack has 2 street tires in 245/45 16 size.

Felipe, you can still get RE11s in 245s and they fit fine on 8s. I'm ordering some on Tuesday. Don't take the last pair!

Although if your only priority is originality and the correct look, you should do what the factory did and use 225/50 16, which is widely available.

Hey, wanna see a picture of my nuts?

I keep posting this because it shows clearly what the 245/50R16 Kumhos look like on the back.
