iN CHECKING MY IGNITION SYSTEM MY REPAIR BOOK SAYS THE PULSE GENERATOR IS BAD , WHERE IS THE PULSE IN MY CAR.iT IS A 1980 911 3.0

its inside the distributor. the wire that comes out of the dist is connected to it.
test those two terminals with an ohm meter. they rarely fail
