Busted stud on fuel tank?

Hey gang, recently I was having trouble with my fuel sending unit, all is goo now; but I think one of the studs holding the sending unit in place is busted off. Take a look and tell me what you think. I dont think I have any fuel/vapour leaks nice I used gasket sealer when I put it back together and even using 4 out of 5 studs it seams to be pretty snug.

What would YOU do to fix this?

ALSO, as you can see I do not have the metal cover that protects the hardware. Do you know where I can get my hands on one?

Something like this I presume:

Normally, it's just a dry rubber gasket.
Part number is 477919133 for $5.

There is so much friction from the other 4 bolts, that even with all 5 nuts off, it can be hard to lift and remove the sender.
My guess is you'll be fine with 4 bolts and the RTV.

Do you know how to use the part PET catalog? The gold cover is 90120127530

Howzabout a barrrel nut?

This same thing happened to Cashman and Porboynz suggested using a barrel nut. This might work for me, can anyone tell me what exactly to buy? I know the nut is 8mm. I don't know much else about the broken stud or the name/size of barrel nut required:

Reminds me of the oil drain plate studs on a VW beetle.
When they break, they usually buy a step-up stud that is threaded into the wallowed out hole.

The P/N is 90120127530, and it appears it's no longer made. However, it appears as though Sierra Madre has them, as does this place. Worth a shot unless someone has a used one.

Help finding a barrel nut?

Well I've determined that it is an M5 thread from the gas tank. Now if I can just figure out where to get the barrel nut, I'd be all set.

I might try my hand in making my own protective cover. If that doesn't work then I'll purchase one.

Thanks guys.
