If that were good advice, 90% of us would be driving fried-egg 996's. It astounds me those words came from Bruce Anderson.

The best advice is to buy the best car you can afford, in the year range you are interested in.

^^ FYI, only half of the 996s had those lights, the 996/2 were much different.

I'm surprised this hasn't yet turned entirely into another excuse type thread to post pictures of our cars, self serving egotistical bastards that we are.

Well. Looks like there are more Carreras than SCs, even though there seem to be lots of SC posts......must be the pesky CIS,

Really? ummmm, last I heard, the 964, 993, 996, 997 and 991s are indeed all 911s... so maybe you mislabeled the thread title??

Well, maybe so but those cars have their own dedicated forums so I figured , maybe incorrectly that they don't read this particular forum. Anyway another poll including all aircooled be cool.

Yes this is a real authentic SC. The S stands for "S" and the C stands for no one knows for sure what it means. Maybe it's a 911S with a C hanging on to it because no other car would have it.
