Cabrio back to targa
Hi all
Just wondering about cars that have been originally targas and converted to cabs. Providing you have all the parts to put it back to a targa, I can't see it being that difficult apart from, re welding the old hoop back in place. Would love to hear from anybody out there that has done it before. |

Depends on what the hacker left. Replacing the hoop will need to be done perfectly or nothing will fit. The front windows targa roof, targa window need a perfectly aligned targa hoop/bar or you will end up with a misshapen hulk.
The targa hoop will need welded by a pro or you could warp the sheetmetal. Is the surround lip intact? That is where the window seal has to mate. If that is missing it will be very hard to weld onto the body. It will not be easy. A shop will want at least 2000 perhaps a lot more. |
