How can you guys think he "mistakenly" thought it was a five speed? He represented how it shifted ("The trans was always smoothed shifting never any popping out of gear") so either he had first-hand knowledge of how it worked, making it a little hard to miss the 5th gear, or knowingly lied about his (non) use of it.
Either way, he doesn't have a leg to stand on. JR |
If it's now a freshly rebuilt transmission, probably best to just install it into a car and drive it.
