How Not to Steal a 911

Back when I had my Cab I always wondered if the car could be stolen this way.

I guess not, he got in but could not override the alarm

Did that look incredibly fake to anyone else? I mean, there was film cuts right when, for example, someone walked by as he was half in the thing. Then, of course, the fact that someone (during a film cut) placed a "wet floor" sign in the middle of the street while the alarm was going off and the roof was obviously wide open? Who puts a sign like that in the street under even optimal conditions, much less while a Porsche is being brutally broken into just 5 feet away???

Viral video? Prank? Completely faked?

@Pazuzu I thought the same thing. Especially the wet floor sign!

Yes there are a few odd irregularities,

If it was a staged event, I doubt the owner had anything to do with it, the guy in the video destroyed what appeared to be a convertible top in at least good condition; and I can't help but think some damage occurred when he jumped onto the whale tail.

It doesn't surprise me that people walked right by a car with an alarm blaring. Some idiot walked right by actress Pauly Perrette as she lay unconscious on the ground after she was attacked by a homeless man, some people just do not want to get involved

This is the reason why I leave the doors to my Miata unlocked and a realistic looking rubber snake in the drivers floorboard. If someone wants my $100 stereo by all means just open the door and take it before you cut my $500 top. That is IF they get past the snake.
