Caliper Rebuild Necessary?

While swapping my track brake pads for the street pads I noticed that the rubber piston seals on my front brake calipers were torn. I know the seals need to be replaced to prevent the pistons from pitting due to moisture but do I need to split and rebuild the caliper or is it possible to just replace that seal?

You can replace just the rubber boot, if that is all that is needed. To rebuild your calipers, you do not have to split the halves. The procedure is outlined in 101 Projects book, available from our host.

I don't think you need to split anything, but you should get a rubber kit, push the pistons out and replace that rubber.
