Power to Fuse Block

Sorry for such a basic question but where does the power come into the fuse blocks of a '89 Targa? I'm looking at the wiring diagrams and don't see anything connecting the block to the battery.

Thanks

If it is like my 1985, then the major power runs are sent to the ignition switch for distribution into different buses depending on the ignition key switch position. See my post here:

Two large gauge red wires from the battery go to connections labeled 30. From the ignition switch, power is distributed base on key position to a couple different locations on the fuse panel.

German wiring is not like American Wiring.

In American cars, you have two groups of fuses, one always sees power and the other is switched by the ignition switch.

in our cars, typically power goes to the switch that controls something, then to the fuse, and then to the controlled device.

What are you trying to do, if we may ask?

Install different fuse block...things are going OK. Pretty hot here and I forgot how much this makes the back of my legs ache bending over the fuse block.
