Little, Tiny Spring.

^^^^^ I found this little guy under the car, adjacent to the pass side rear tire. Where does it go? Thanks in advance, Gerry |
Gas door?

Hold me closer tiny spring
Count the headlights on the highway |

The fuel door spring has more coils and is missing the loop on one end.
Unless they varied by year. |

I'd start by giving the car a once over twice. Looking for things that should be springy but aren't any longer. After an hour if I can't find anything broken, put it in a drawer just in case you figure out two years from now where it went.

Heat box?

I really do not think it belongs on our 3.2's Dr Gerry.

Thanks, Gerry |
It doesn't look like it's from the brakes or the throttle body.
Did you happen to walk by the car with any wire strippers or garden clippers? I was wondering if it fell off of some sort of hand tool or even a small clamp you may have had in the garage. |
Gerry, I do not recognize that spring as part of our 86's either. Maybe a playful neighbour is messing with you.

Spring.
Thanks to all for you constructive comments.
The car has been stationary for about three weeks during an A/C re-install. So perhaps this little guy showed up during the work from another source. As stated by several members, I don't think it came off the car. I'll check one more time. Best, Gerry |
