1995 993 immobilizer experts?

Arrgh! After spending over $200 to flatbed my immobilized 1995 993 (I lost my only working key fob) to a mechanic who told me that, unlike the dealer, they will diagnose the problem and fix it instead of just replace parts, the mechanic tells me today that they can't program my immobilizer to my new key fobs because there is a problem either in the system wiring or the immobilzer module and they don't have the tester to diagnose the module. Awesome diagnosis skills. I had told them I tried all the online programming guides and failed. I had also checked the front and rear hood lights, the door lights, the glovebox light, and the green radio wire. They supposedly knew better.

Does anyone know of a Boston area mechanic who REALLY knows how to fix a misbehaving immobilizer and program it to accept new fobs? Alternatively, is there a place I can mail my immobilizer and key fobs to get programmed?

Thanks,

Davis
