Reinstalling Engine / Trans: Starter Wiring Question + Mystery Trans Wire

Hi everyone
Car is a 1984 3.2 carrera.

I'm reinstalling the motor and trans after a trans rebuild. I did some searching but couldn't find the answers, so here goes:

Question 1: where does this mystery wire connect on the trans? I can see that the spades go into the tunnel and connects to two wires in there...where does the round connector go?

Question 2: where does the small yellow (ignition?) wire connect on the starter motor solenoid? I can see two terminals where it will fit. I can't seem to find the pictures I took when I removed the wires. Picture from below is taken under the pass rear side, camera pointed up and toward the back of the car.

first one is in that cavity

second one I have spade connectors , looks like yours needs a missing screw from that cavity.

is this a screw hole ?

Yep, that's a screw hole at the bottom of the starter.

You dudes are scaring me!

Umm, that's the sender for your speedo. The spade with the cover and boot go into the hole in the tunnel. The sender sits in the indent on the right sided of the trans.. about 2:00 o'clock of the output shaft.

Does the little puck just sit in the indentation, or does it connect to some electrical pins?

Apologize for these questions, I got 90% with the reinstall and just have a few items left that either I didn't label well or didn't take pics of.

No worries..

It sits in the indent, and there should be a little metal arm that slides over it and locks down with a short 10mm bolt. The other in goes into the tunnel and connects inside the car.

Thanks onboost. That is clear as day...I see it.

If anyone has a pic of the starter wiring, I would be forever in your debt. Bentley is no help and my search skills didn't bring it up.

Found my answer, with the pic in this thread...looks like it goes in the bottom hole with the screw in it.
