Still waiting to see if it was an overfill. Did you check the oil level?
Remember engine running operating temp and LEVEL.
Trust the dipstick until you verify that the gauge is accurate.

Hi 5ickride ,a can of brake clean is always handy to clean small areas
on engine, as it drys of quick as well, but better to use it on cold engine
piece of cardboard under neath,regards.

5) If its not the triangle or oil cooler, it's probably the rear main seal. I'd take it in to a shop or live with it until you need a clutch or major service. They'll have to drop the motor and remove the clutch / flywheel to do this. If you're ambitious you can DIY but it's more than a weekend job for a newbie. There's also a bunch of "while you're in there" to do if you go this far.

Complete engine drop/clutch/main seal repair video here if needed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNdMp_W-cmY A very do-able DIY repair. Simply take your time and be safe.

This is clearly the aforementioned "triangle of death" leaking.
I would clean it up as much as possible, then drop the engine and transmission so you can get at it more easily.
With the engine out, it would also be a good time to:
- replace the vacuum/breather hoses
- replace intake manifold gaskets
- check your fuel lines
- send out the injectors for cleaning
- check clutch
- repack CV joints, replace boots
- check/replace motor mounts
- replace ground strap

Get the Bentley Manual if you don't have it already.

Does it smell funky like transmission lube? If so, it could be your pilot shaft seal in the trans. I am betting on the rear main seal, but until you clean the area and chase down the leak, all we can do is guess.

Have you changed the oil recently? If so, what is the true level (hot; parked level)?

The TOD should be addressed regardless. It is just good to remove all possibilities as you hunt things down.

I'm with Jdub on this one. OP just had "all the maintenance and typical stuff" done on the car and now he has a leak? I'm thinking overfilled oil. Check oil level to confirm.

Mine only leaked when the engine was at full operating temp. Since the amount of oil in the engine fluctuates greatly depending on engine temp, be sure to go for a long drive and see if your leak has really gone away.

Finally had a few minutes to check the engine oil level and it looks like only the very tip of the dipstick is catching any oil? Is that normal?

If measured, warm, level and running. It's low, should read just under the 1/2 mark.

4th pic confirmed the TOD.

One of three components are leaking. Do not fret, spray some mild engine degreaser back there and rinse her out. let her dry over night and take her for a good run and check again.

TOD is not that difficult, just very little space to work. Note do not over torque the idiot light switch and make certain if breather you put the hose back on properly. The breathe connector has a divet and sometimes we accidentally place the clamp there and create another leak.
