Well guys, here we go again...
I've posted some in-car video from my 1970 911S of VSCDA's Vintage Fest at Road America. It was 50 degrees, raining sideways, with standing water on the track. I learned that custom grooved hoosiers as racing rains are absolutely no good as full rain tires, only intermediates.. This video link shows one lap. At the exit of corner six, I damn near lose it. My crew saw it from 25 feet away and couldn't believe I pulled a save out of my a$$... ![]() Click here for streaming video! or Click here for my racing homepage. Then go to results and select the last video... Cheers, Chris ------------------ Chris Streit -------------- 1982 930 1970 911S RSR 2.8 Replica [This message has been edited by cstreit (edited 10-02-2001).] |

Way cool...more more more.
Can you get a bit of your helmet in the shot to get a better impression of the movement of the car? Keep these coming! Mark |

I keep forgetting to turn the camera on 'cinema' mode. One of these days I'll give the 16:9 mode a shot and hopefully should give a bit more perspective.
Thanks for the good idea! |

Change your wiper to model that is 5-10 cm longer
Did it and helps, at least I found it annoying to drive in the rain with small wiper blades.

Cool video. And nice save! I thought you'd lost it for sure. Bet you needed a change of undies after that.

Those cement barriers were looking REALLY close for a brief moment... First time I really had to contemplate serious damage to the car... Good adrenaline rush though...
