I've never seen so many German spelled 'Kurts' in my life.
This is the kind of name exclusivity people named 'Bob' get in the regular world. |

I had only met personally two "K"urts in my life before I found this BBS! Many a Kurt here. Maybe we need to have a Kurt/Porsche get-together? My German blood comes from my father's side, couple of generations back. I was told I was named after the Kurt child from the Sound of Music. Hopefully I wasn't conceived in the movie theater! ![]() Best to the Kurts and those with other names, Kurt |

For me, not an ounce of German blood (except what came in via the English genes). You're sensitive to your name dependent its commonality. Certainly, when I see "Kurt" spelled out anywhere, I assume it's to me...then, wait, I'm not even participating in this thread, how can so-and-so be talking to me...and it's only at this place!

I agree, until I got on this board, it was rare to meet anyone who spelled Kurt with a "K" Not to mention everyone who tries to spell my name Kirk, Curt, etc. Hmmm, maybe we can start a plot for the Kurts of the world to unite and take over the world!
