Can anybody help me identify these connecting rods? RSR?

I´ve been curious what my bottom end was for a while, so i bought an inspection camera and stuck it in trough the oil tubes in the lower camhousing.
I´m curious if they might be the same as in the 3.0 rs and rsr.
I found the number 1130 and a last letter that looked like a worn out R or F
I've only found the the number 1130R on 3.0 rs and rsr rods when searching through pictures on the web.

I also found out my engine has ARP rod bolts which was good news

here's some pictures.

Does anyone know if any other porsche rods has the number 1130R ?
If say the 911 sc rods don't have the number 1130R on them i can rule them out.
When i got my car it didnt have a rev limiter and it has been over 8000 rpms several times :/
now i´ve sett a rev limiter to 7500rpm

You may want to post in the 911 engine building forum for an answer. Great brain trust there.
Good luck.

Hi,

I hope, for your sake, that your crank has been cross-drilled, the case modified and the center main bearing grooved for oiling. With those crankshafts, the bottom end isn't safe unless you have a GT-3 crank and aftermarket rods.

Unfortunatly i don't know who built it, or who owned the car when this was done.
If i had known i could have just asked.
I bought the car from a seller in Norway who had imported the car from USA, Callifornia i think, in 2011.
If these are 3.0 rs/rsr rods i won't need aftermarket rods as the rsr is buit for over 8000rpm or?
If the shaft hasn't been crossdrilled, about how much would it cost getting it done?
If i can find any good info on this, my cousine is a machinist and is always wiling to help me out.

As much as i love the thought of having a bulletproff short stroke high rpm engine, for a high power turbo engine, is a long stroke engine preferable? I would think the short stroke heads would get much warmer ?

A lot of questions here :P

Is it possible to see on the crank shaft if it has been cross drilled. The plug ? where would it sitt and how would it look?
In that case i'll try with the camera, and if i can't find out if it has been cross drilled, i guess i'll have to dismantle the engine.

The crankshaft main bearings or journals are not view-able.

I called my pal last night that has racing Porsches (GT3 RS and a Cup car) and asked him about a stroker vs spinner crank and he did not know regarding turbo charged.

I then asked about the GT3 crank Steve mentioned and he said "Yes, I know this is performed on higher HP retro-fits"

You have risk if not handled correctly based on the advice from a professional. I would listen to Steve.

Another option is to back off on the boost and live with some risk?

Found some old pictures of the car from the add when i bought it ! Under the lisence plates it says NOIR TECH MOTORSPORTS. I'm gonna give them a call today and ask if they remember building this car.
I found some info on the workshop here on pelican , and it seems the main guy ? Tony Miller has quit.

I get that i can't see the journals or bearings, but i was hoping i'd be able to see if it had been drilled from where the hole entered and was plugged?
Gt3 crank would be awesome! i guess it wouldn't be spinning as free though due to the long stroke it has.
Thank you for the info and tipps guys
