Alternator pulley bolt size

What size is the bolt that holds the alternator pulley in place? I don't have the toolkit that comes with the car and will need to go buy a socket for it.

The Bentley manual doesn't specify.

I thought it was 22mm, but that's obviously too small.

The fine thread of the early alternators was 22 mm
The later, on board VR, is 24mm
