Picture needed please! Power mirror joystick wiring
Hi all - I've recently had my car (1980 SC) repainted, during the process the doors were removed and it seems like the mirror joystick has been miswired (as I blow a fuse each time I try to adjust the mirrors).
I'm looking for a picture of the backside of the joystick, with each of the six wires visible. I've been unsuccessful in finding a pinout diagram that clearly shows which wire goes where. I have found these two pictures from previous posts on the forum but they don't quite show every pin. Does anyone have clearer pics? From previous searches it seems like I have the 'earlier' version of the flag mirrors, the switch is as pictured below (comes in two parts, the switch snaps into the socket). http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442632875.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1442632884.jpg thanks! wiring
Hi, this may help you. I grapped it off of another thread.
Here are the barrel color connections for a RH mirror - hopefully they are the same on the left. (Pin numbers are stamped on the connector rim) Function --- Pin# -- Mirror Side Color ----Door Harness Side Color Heater A --- 6 --- Brown --- Brown Heater B --- 5 --- Brown --- Gray/Green Common A -- 4 --- Black/Brown --- Red Up/Down --- 3 --- Black --- Black/Blue Left/Right --- 2 --- White/Brown --- Blue/Gray Common B --1 --- White --- A) White/Red B) Red |

Thanks all! Fixed. It was mis-wired after reassembly.
Unfortunately something in the innards of my drivers mirror seems to have 'snapped' when I was putting the glass back in to the clips. So now the motor spins but the mirror doesn't adjust. So close!! I've started to disassemble the guts of it, drilled out the rivets so that I could get at the motor. It's quite intriguing in there. Will be doing some searches to try and understand how this thing works..... I am holding the white plastic gear assembly in my hand, but I'll be damned if I can see what's wrong.. |

Hey there!
I'm fascinated by the drivers side adjustable mirror mechanism on my 77 911S, therefore Im keen to wire everything originally. All is working now, but Im missing the joystick side propper oem socket, is there any chance to find one here? or does 924 928 or 944 have the same socket? Any help is appreciated. |
