help starting 911, any ideas pls mail me if poss
"...1976 911S and am finding it hard to start when the engine is cold.
After turning the key the engine dosn't start to turn over until about 5 - 10 seconds. When it does start to kick it needs the assistance of the starter motor for another 5 - 10 seconds as it splutters into action. The manual choke seems to make matters worse. When the engine starts to turn over and the full choke is applied it revs up and down between the point of cutting out and 3000rpm without assistance until the engine becomes warm. adrian.jansz@bg-group.com |
