HELP! and it has no relation to the Beatles. I own a 1970 911e
I would love to get a COA.....but decades ago it was stolen??? Ident numbers were covered or filed off. So because of the Ca DMV giving it a new ident. number I believe it has its original matching drive train. Are there any hidden codes on the body? Restoration people please help me out. thanks Owen |

I believe there are at least a couple other places on the body that have the VIN number. Open the front hood and on the passenger side right above the gas tank, near the lower left corner of the smuggler's box is STAMPED numbers, which are your original numbers that came from Porsche.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SWYy5cXa18 There is a sticker in the driver's door jamb. There are numbers stamped on the dash under the radio. Of course, the original plate is riveted to the left of the front hood latch and an aluminum plate on driver's A pillar visible through the windshield. You can then check on the 911E registry to see if the engine is close to the one you own. What is your engine number? It should start with 620 |
