RRV from Kentucky with my 86 Carrera
I can only imagine one way to enjoy Rennsport Reunion V and that's driving there in a proper car, that being a 1986 Carrera which just so happens to be also my Daily Driver. She's prepped and ready to start heading out West on the 17th with a few out of the way stops like Pikes Pike, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone and maybe even try a Top Speed run at the Salt Flats.
![]() Keep you all posted with pictures of the trip. Cheers,

Likewise! Looking forward to following your adventure.
I myself, will be making the 120 mile trip from SF in my 1988 Carrera, which is my Sunday driver. I'll start heading south on the 25th, passing through South San Francisco and Morgan Hill on the way and the garlic and artichoke capitals of the world. ![]() I think you win. Happy motoring and see you at The Show. |

are you coming 80 or further south? I'm making the run from Scottsdale through Kingman, Barstow, Tehachapi, etc. If you are coming down 15 and want a companion, let me know

Hey Rtrorkt,
I'll be mainly on the I-80 on the West bound run but, my for my East bound drive I'll be heading South towards LA before heading East. These Forest fires in N.Cali might have me making some detours though. mdwracer, just wait on the curb, I'll be there.

The photos rotated during uploading, cropping this one seems to have kept it upright.

![]() Covered 1,130 miles in 16.5 hours to get to Co. Springs for the first leg. Originally the plan was to head directly to Pikes Pike, but noticed the Royal Gorge Bridge was just 20 miles or so away. The Pikes Pike drive to the Summit was unbelievable and cold. Clouds roll right past you and the air's so thin, both me and the car was down on performance

![]() I didn't even know about this thread when I took those photos, but if I see an aircooled 911 and I happen to have a camera in my hand... Too bad that I didn't meet the driver.. BTW, that was the only aircooled Porsche I saw on my 5-day trip to Vegas (I just came back to Finland today).
