York A/C compressor 11/70
 
I'm currently restoring the engine compartment of my '69.

Upon removing the York compressor I noticed it had been touched up with some aluminum colored paint in some areas.

While it looks ok, I'm interested if anyone knows what the original finish might have been. I'm considering bead blasting, tumbling with media, and striping and re-painting.

Does anyone have first hand knowledge of the original finish?
