Ryan,

I'm next to D. Byers, thanks for all the pics and the great video that you gave to Nostaic and he put together. I wish I had taken more pics . Well next time, can't wait for the next.

Mug shots.

Ryan;

The two guys (both wearing shades, shoulder to shoulder) either side of Jim (buttjoint) are father and son. Sorry, don't remember their names either, but I believe they were in a silver SC.

Maybe that will help someone's memory.

The other UFO (wow, he could drive!) (standing next to Max) was one of the last ones to show in Redlands before we left, and took lots of pictures.

I hate this. Their names are right there.

I remember the father and son team, super nice guy and it was way cool that he let his son drive back down the mountain. He said he was trying to get him to slow going into the turns and come out fast. Apparently he was trying his luck the other way a little. I could of used a little of that advice on one of the turns myself.

The other guy had a really nice looking black SC, I think, but then again, unless it has a long hood I think they're all SCs.

My son's name is Calvin (as opposed to Zachary, which is David's son).

Rick, Ryan is the video man. All I did was create an alternate soundtrack for second version. Ryan, I haven't been able to convert the full footage to QT yet...my kludge method hung during rendering. Such is life dealing with MS protocols...

Sorry Todd, I didn't even notice that I had two Zacharys in there.

Keep working on the video, I can't wait to see what you come up w/. I'm sure MS doesn't make it easy to convert.

Ryan,

I sat next to the guy in between Max and the father & son at breakfast, but my febile mind has lost it! ScottB and him talked alot as they were both in the lawyering buisness and had mutual friends in L.A area.
The father and son team had a SC that was dark grey and stayed on my tail on the way up to Fawnskin. I'm surprised you don't have him in your new members list for the SCWDP.

The guy in the purple shirt is me, Richard (rfng). And yes the car was the turbocharged SC, in sleeper mode.

What a motley crue we have out there. I don't know if I should associate myself with you wilds and scary types.

Thought about it a second and, okay I would in a heart beat. It's quite cold here and I am insanely jealous. I would love to chase Paul (pbs911) up those roads jamming Agent Orange on the disk player. fast cars cheap thrills... and pipeline BTW how many open cars ran open? Was it warm enough?
Top off or top down, it's the way to experience the real feeling of the road!

I only know of one car with the top down (Mikey Z), maybe there were more. I had the windows down and the sunroof open on the way down the mountain. It was around 70 degrees at the start of the run, around 63 or so at the top, and around 80 at the bottom when we finished. Not a bad day, but the humidity was so low that it didn't feel all that hot :-)

I believe it was Jim (buttjoint) with the red (burgundy?) cab, and he had the top down. In fact, I seem to remember him saying at breakfast that if the weather hadn't been nice enough to have the top down he wouldn't have come...it's to down or nothing. Gotta admire a man who has principles

Well the top was not down but off (targa) from the time I left SB (just after 5am) until I came home the follwing day close to midnite. I cant seem to remember the last time I had the top on my car.
Its nice to live in SoCal.

I had my Targa top off from the moment I left the San Fernando Valley at about 6:30 a.m. until the time I got home. The weather that day was *amazing*. Aside from fires, floods and earthquakes, Southern California does have its advantages.

Thanks Brad, for reminding me that I'm old :-) Happy B-day to you too.

Seems like only yesterday I had blond hair instead of grey (enough to cover my head) and I was skinny and had the world by the b@lls.

Your time is coming :-)

PS, you can hang with us anytime, we don't care if you drive a NARP
