Changing wheel Finnish and side script? Need opinions.
I've been thinking for a while about an RSR finish on my wheels but would like your opinion. I also stumbled across a picture of a car similar to mine with a side script that I like the looks of. What say ye?
My car is on top. The other two pics were borrowed from here. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444483637.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444483656.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444483679.jpg |
I like your wheels as is, but the Porsche side lettering would be a nice touch too. Personally i'd also black out the mirrors.
Is your rear bumper a non impact style like your RUF front bumper? If so, i'd change the rockers to a 964 style for a nice clean look all around but thats getting expensive. With your current rockers I think they look great with proper impact front and rear bumpers, fuchs and a "Carrera" side script. Cool looking car, enjoy! |

Beautiful car, leave it as is.
Except for the black headlight rings. That makes no visual sense and looks awful. |
Ben,
On your car I think the black center wheels look better than the RSR finish. I like the Porsche black side script, nice touch. |
I totally agree about the trim rings...just been too lazy to do anything about them. I think I will get on that this week.

Hi Ben,
That is my car with the side script way back 2012, took it out replaced it with something unique http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444498165.jpg and eventually went back to none in 2014 to present http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1444498275.jpg Do whatever makes you happy, I had to try whatever suits my mood and decided with finality to leave it the way it as before. Though, I would also paint the trim rings. Nice car btw. |
JQ911, great looking car and I share your fondness of changing it up. My car has over the years changed wheels three times so far, rear spoilers three times, three different sets of seats and has worn the Ruf bumpers for about 10 years now.

Have fun with your car. Everything is essentially reversible. Life is too short to settle for the same ol' thing all the time.
