Hey, I'm hearing that the government doesn't really think Bin Laden was directly involved. They are just using him as a "boogeyman" in order to whip the country into a war frenzy since they haven't yet identified the real cuplrits. Has anyone else heard this? Has it been heard from any reasonably reliable sources? Seems to make sense since the Atty General admitted over the weekend that they still can't even be sure who the guys were ON THE PLANES.

did you guys hear the story that 2 days before the attack, Bin Laden supposedly told his mother that something big was going to happen in 2 days and that he would have to disappear for a while?

I heard it on Fox, I think, but I dont know how true it is.

Sorry Cabman, I just clicked thru page 15..it's no longer on this site. Dunno who the original post maker was, or where he got it. I too, found it funny. Guess I'm just not as "politically correct" as the bozo who hosts a show missnamed "politically incorrect". I tuned in the show once or twice, only to discover 3 liberals beating up on a "token conservative". So, the above "sensitive" people? Don't worry about it. If it had been Timothy McVeigh in the 7-11 jacket, they'd have been laughing their heads off...

BTW, talked with any girls yet? It gets easier each time you try...

it IS complete ignorance.. i am a MIDDLE EASTERN MUSLIM from Iran, and i think that they take Ossam Bin Laden as a scape goat. the attacks on Muslims in the US just proves the US's ignorance. they are DISGUSTED when kids in the middle east are screaming "Kill USA" but then they dont see that their fellow AMERICANS are bombing mosques, killing and attacking Middle easterners (muslim or not)

the fact that he wanted the picture, In my opinion, wasnt bad.. BUT, if he was saying "send me that picture. i hate muslims so much" then it would be pure ignorance and nothing else.

Shaun? I'll admit, we have a lot to learn, here in the USA. But still, I found the pic funny, and I'd like to think it wasn't racial...or religious. But, do I think Bin Laden alone was behind this terrorist attack? Hardly! Do I think ALL Muslims support Bin Laden? Not any more than I believe all Catholics (I was raised Catholic) do whatever the Pope says...I can hopefully understand your concerns now..but I hope many of us do not equate Muslim or the color of a man's skin with terrorism. Some may, but I doubt that most do...

This is going to pi$$ alot of people off but here it goes. The wonderful thing abot living in a free world (North America) is we have the right to our own opinions politically correct or not. Obviously many other nations throughout the world including the Middle East dont have these rights.Look at the millions of oppressed people throughout the world (even Afghanistan) who would do anything to come to this country as immigrants.
We will probably never know all the details of the terrorists actions that lead up to the disasters but I can sure as hell bet my left nut that it wasnt an Irish Catholic or an Aussie that crashed those planes. I for one am sick and tired of the Muslim Fanatics who hide behind there religion and blame the rest of the none Muslim world(especially the USA) for there problems. (Note how I stress fanatics!!! This is only a very small fraction of the Muslim religion). The rest of the world has to do what has to be done about this Muslim freak bin Ladin. The guy has been a terrorist for years and should be shot on site.
As for those who are offended with the actions that are being taken or for what is being said and done TOO BAD. If you or the others dont like it here I WOULD BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO PAY FOR A ONE WAY ticket back to wherever the heII you came from cause you dont deserve the freedom you have right know!
If I was an American living in Afghanistan today I would fearing for my life, or in jail. Dont go telling me that we would be treated fairly if we were living over there.
I am a Canadian whose Grandfather, Uncles and Father fought in both Wars with the Americans to allow me to have the freedoms I have today. I now am ready and willing to join my American Brothers (like Leland)to fight and die myself, for my childrens, and there childrens futures.
Like I said I am sure I have upset alot of people but I bet there are alot more people who would agree with me.

Yup, we are all ignorant. That is why Afghanistan is a battle ground and just a big rubble pile.

You can thank the milarity/government of the respective countries for that... Do not put schools and churches next to military targets and they will not get blow up. Nice that the middle eastern governments uses common citizens as targets. Then they get on TV and biatch that we are targeting schools, wrong we were bombing the ammunitions depot right beside it!

I am at the point where I could care less if Bin Laden is directly responsible for the 9/11 actions. He has killed innocent people in the past and he deserves to be the first target of many terrorists in the middle east.

And to all these crunchy hippies who are protesting the immenent war can get one way ticket to! Welcome to the real "Survivor" spoiled bastards!

Also I was watching 20/20 last night and it is amazing some of the garbage they are reporting now, specifically talking about the racial profiling article. Hey it is just tough Shniz if you are an Arab American and have to get check a little bit more at the airport. Cry me a river! Think of it as added safety for yourself, as an Arab American, from some Arab terrorist. Think of it this way, we check you very thoroughly at the airport and you complain... The Arab person behind you we let go without a thorough check... You are both on the same flight, he has a knife. Congratulations, you are dead in the name of "profiling". People we are at war, your civil liberties can be compromised in this time, no questions asked.

It is getting very near the time to open a can of whupass!!!

I'm supposed to go back to work next week 1&1/2 blocks from the former Trade Center and I'm scared shi*tless.

I for one think the Bin Laden/7-11 photo is in poor taste. Yes, we are free to post this stuff but it really isn't funny on any level.

We can see him as a minimum wage clerk in a 7-11, "hey ali babba, this coffee is stale!" Maybe that helps us feel better. But the fact is: this moster has money & operates in an environment that affords him almost complete protection. For the over a million Arab & Middle Eastern citizens and green card holders who go to work every day in this country is just not fair to paint them with the same brush.
Do we need to re-visit visa and border control issues? Yes. Racial profiling? I dont know. I doubt little blue haired ladies are going to start bombing anytime soon. The "profile" now is pretty narrow and getting refined every day. We shall see.
