Seat mounted bracket to hold Safecraft quick release fire extinguisher
I've read dozens of threads on here and rennlist related to this topic - there seems to be 3 options.
1) BK mount (doesn't move w/ seat- deal killer) and their quick release 2) Safecraft PB2 bottle/bracket (what I want) https://www.safecraft.com/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_23&products_id=235 - but I only see their mount which looks like the non-sliding BK design: https://www.safecraft.com/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=9_27&products_id=248 3) Rennline's mount including their own quick release (not a huge fan of the fabric pull strap) Here's my question: If I'm trying to mount a Safecraft PB2 bottle/mount onto a bracket/'seat mount' that will slide w/ the passenger seat does anyone know if the rennline OR Stable energies brackets will work (fine having to drill correctly located holes). No one lists actually drawing/dimensions on this - the only thing that I see that USED to be made was something that Sharkwerks did for GT2/3 buckets which was just this - custom sliding bracket for a Safecraft PB2. Anyone done this or do I really have to get this fabbed? Thanks Seats are 1987 Power. |

I installed the safecraft mount and extinguisher with the stable mount and it all worked just fine. I might have drilled a few holes in the mount's face, but I simply do not recall since it was fairly seamless.

Who, I just checked the link. What makes that worth $354! (or more in polished!?) ???
Seems like a $250-300 overcharge?

If you buy this seperately from Rennline or Brey Krause you're looking at ~$250 (e.g. Pelican Parts - Product Information: BK-R-9520) plus the cost of a Halguard clean agent (~$130) Rennline's quick release unit is the same cost and then again plus the Halguard clean. So to me this seemed reasonable for something that would mount/look/function very well. |
