Front sway bar sizes???
 

Hi all:
What size sway bars came on the 84-up Carreras? I wanted to go to a bit bigger bar on my 78 SC. I think it's a 20mm. Are factory style 22mm bars available?

These are the sway bar sizes info from my old notes:

SC................20.3/18 mm.........front/rear..........'78-'83
Carrera.........21/20.3 mm..........front/rear..........'84-'86
Carrera.........22/21 mm.............front/rear..........'86(?) '87-'89.

My notes stated 1986 was the transition year and may have some bigger sway bars in the later production cars (?). I have 22/21 mm in my '78 Targa.

Yep - get a set of used Carrera bars. Should be cheap on this board from people who go aftermarket! That's what I did on my SC ... well, never installed, but they came with the car when sold. ;)
