Question Black carpets

any ideas on how to get some deep black colour back into my slightly faded black carpets

This topic came up a while back. You can actually get carpet "dye" in a spray can at the autoparts store. I tried it out on the faded carpet on the back of the rear seats. Actually came out ok.

try Molecubond from Walmart, I did my carpets and Targa top1 year ago. still looks like I just did them. about $6 a can

sometimes i get very jealous of you Americans .....i have never seen such a product here ...i'll look hard now i know it exists though....you seem to have a product available for doing anything to anything just at the local store??

A friend of mine who used to own a show winning Corvette with black carpet used to swear by a light spraying of black paint from an aerosol can.

I freshen mine up with a stiff brush and amonia heavilly diluted in water.

would this spray dye work to change the color? Mine are tan and I would like to make them black...road gunk has them half way there!

HD, I am in the same situation as you are with lighter colored carpets and would like to make mine black, without spending the $300 that it takes for new ones!
