915 tranny id

Can anyone identify the following numbers on a 915 tranny. would like to know year, if its aluminum and close ratio or not. 915.301.102.3R 915.301.101.7R

Porsche Crest 915 tranny Id

Hey Buddy .... you gotta crack the tranny open. Then, you can check the letter designation on each gearset seperately. If the case is silver it's aluminum, if it's gray it's mag. Any 915 that is aluminum with an electric speedo is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to have a close-ratio gearset.
